Overnight Getaways Are So Much Fun. . .

August 12, 2010

Tom and I decided that we wanted to get away for a night before school started. So Melissa came and stayed with the kids. We had a gift card to Anniversary Inn. We started the evening off having dinner at The Roof Restaurant. We walked around Temple Square and enjoyed the lovely ground they have there. As we were eating, the sun was setting and it was the most beautiful evening. One of those nights that just makes you happy to be alive.

It was a real treat the next morning when the bring you breakfast in bed. We spent the morning just lounging around and relaxing, (something we don't get to do much of anymore). Then we went and saw two movies, Charlie St. Cloud and Eat, Pray, Love. After we went to Hires and had some dinner. We decided to go to the Joseph Smith Building and watch the Joseph Smith movie. We got home about 10:00 pm, but we had a wonderful two day.

It is amazing how just a little get away can revive our spirits. We always love to spend sometime at Temple Square in Salt Lake. . .

We enjoyed running into the sister missionaries when we went to the Joseph Smith Movie. It is always a treat to get to talk to some of them.

Enjoying dinner at the Roof Restaurant and having my favorite dessert. . . Creme Brulee!

As we were eating dinner, the sun we setting. We had a beautiful view of the temple from our table.

A Night at Anniversary Inn. . .We enjoyed the themed room 'A Room With A View'.
